Wedding Flowers for Happiness and Proseperity

In Chinese culture the colours red and yellow are auspicious, so for Zhen’s bouquet I wanted to incorporate lots of shades of these colours with all the happiness, prosperity, and stability they imbue.

Made with all our own Cumbrian grown flowers and foliages, I was pleased to have some of the first dahlia to put in with cosmos, scabiosa, hellenium, poppy, helicrysum and our roses.

A highlight of my week was setting up the ceremony arch with a garland at Barn in the Fells, with Zhen’s mother and sister practicing Pachabel’s Canon on the piano and violin. It was so beautiful. So much love in their practicing.
