2021 Reflections

What a year!! On balance 2021 has been brilliant and we’ve grown and created some stunning beauty here in west Cumbria. It’s not been without some major challenges and share of stressful moments that don’t make it into our updates as often as they occur(!!), but I know that alongside the beauty we’re cultivating an appreciation of local, seasonal, sustainable flowers and awareness of what can be achieved without imported flowers. We’ve always championed #grownnotflown and firmly believe it’s the future of cut flowers. Thank you for believing that too.

Over the last four years I’ve built a support network of growers and businesswomen who help me so much. The support of these wonderful people enable me to continue when the challenges are overwhelming and I am so grateful to you all for that help and companionship. Thank you for picking up the phone, chatting and sharing, listening to my rants, giving superb advice, and trusting my advice when you’ve asked. You’re all brilliant, and I hope that 2022 is a good one for us all!
